Strategy: Multiple Ways to Demonstrate Ongoing Progress

Allowing students to select from different program assessments to demonstrate readiness for mastery assessment

Context

While unit assessments are standardized, within the learning resources, there are several ways that students can track and show emerging mastery. These varied assessments cover the same learning objectives but have students approach the type of problem in a different way (using different strategies, etc.). Once a student shows enough evidence from ongoing data, they are ready to take a unit assessment.
