Context
Lindsay High School primarily uses the individual rotation model for blended learning, where a “student has an individualized playlist and does not necessarily rotate to each available station or modality. An algorithm or teacher(s) sets individual student schedules” (Christensen Institute). In the 2015-2016 school year, Learners predominantly used a system called Educate (and now use Empower) to manage their individual learning pathways. In addition to Facilitators personalizing instruction within content areas, Learners also have Personalized Learning Time each week, which allows Learners more flexibility to focus on their biggest needs.
