Moving with Mastery Through Learning Standards

Using data and flexible resources to determine which students are ready for more challenging material

Context

Students who have mastered the level corresponding to their grade are able to learn content beyond that grade level. Teachers have a specific view of how far each student has progressed from the benchmark assessments. Given these data, as well as data they are continually collecting in class and from software, they are able to determine which students are ready to move up a grade. Students that do so have their playlists and groupings adjusted with content and resources appropriate for them.
