Network-Wide Interim Assessments

Additional assessments to measure grade-level progress

Overview

ReNEW Schools uses a common scope and sequence across schools, and the mastery-based math program participates in time-based measures in addition to student’s self-paced ones. ReNEW Schools conducts three benchmark assessments throughout the year. This provides ReNEW Schools with a good estimate of whether students are on-pace against grade-level expectations, how they might perform on their end-of-year test, and where they could use remediation and support. Each school within the ReNEW Schools network also conducts mastery quizzes every two weeks, which provide more specific views of individual student progress.
